Summer is busy time for Edinburgh. The capital of Scotland becomes then the capital of festivals, festivals of everything: arts, culture, handcraft, theatre, literature, street performences, stand-ups, drag queen burlesque shows. Fringe is the oldest, the biggest, the laudest and the most colorful of them all. 25 days, 300 venues, >4000 shows. Our 2 days, 3 venues and 4 shows was a modest, but promising start :)

food goes back home

In the first world countries, food waste is one of the biggest problems. It has also became a reason of a lifestyle. Freeganism is a practice and ideology of limited participation in the conventional economy and minimal consumption of resources, particularly through recovering wasted goods like food (Wikipedia). In Wroclaw, freegans meet after dark, when the shops are already closed. They find the spots with dumpsters and then begin the action to rescue all the fruits, vegetables and other goods that were sentenced to the premature death. Those still natures are pictures of the rescued food.
