total eclipse of the heart

A total solar eclipse was visible at the north part of Atlantic Ocean, Nordic Sea and Arctic Sea, March 20, 2015. It reached the peak in Iceland, central phase lasted 2min 47s.
In Birmingham the event was visible between 8.30 and 10.30am, with the peak at 9.30. Plenty of people gathered at 7th floor of Birmingham Library to watch and bear witness to the last solar eclipse visible in Europe until the eclipse of August 12, 2026.
